Bullying, Fitting-In And Covid-19 Causing Stress For Kerry Leaving Certificate Students
This survey was aimed at secondary school students in Kerry who are about to sit their Leaving Certificate this year. The survey intended to find out if the students mental health were in any way affected by the potential changes to this year’s Leaving Certificate due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The survey aimed to examine the potential effects this uncertainty had on a student’s mental health and if they feel supported. The survey also examined the issue of bullying in secondary schools and examined what kind of role social media plays in their lives.

LEAVING Certificate students in Kerry have said that Covid-19 has had a negative impact on their mental health, while increased competition for 3rd Level places in 2021 is causing the most worry.
